Bucket gifts

With it being Teacher appreciation week, I thought I would share a easy and fun gift.  I went to my local craft store a couple days before Valentines day and they had little buckets filled with treats made up as gifts.  The only thing was they were $24.99!!  Yikes!  I knew I could put one together much cheaper.  This past Valentines Day I made two bucket gifts, one for my honey and one for my 2nd graders teacher.

I made my honeys with cigars, Jack Daniels and Reese's....a few of his favorite things:)  I also found the box of chocolate cigars and had to include them:)

The nips were only about .99cents and the cigars varied, I bought one that was whiskey flavored, one that was coffee flavored and a couple for him to give a try.

My sons bucket for his teacher turned out so cute!  I got a couple "gourmet" lollipops for about .39cents each and a cookie shaped like a cupcake.

I got the buckets for .99cents each and the flowers were also on sale for .99cents each.  I took some floral foam I already had and cut it to fit inside the buckets and started filling with the flowers.  I then hot glued the candy, nips and cigars onto lollipop sticks and arranged them.  The lollie pops were just inserted and the cookie was attached to a lollie pop stick and voila and easy super cute gift:)

Valentine's Day goody bags

Happy Valentine's Day!! A day to celebrate love....awesome:) I have a 7 year old son and I asked him if he would like to give out little goody bags with things we made and he was like "sure". LOL! Gotta love the enthusiasm. I found a ton of great ideas all over the web and finally chose the following ones:

The iLove I found at full of bliss , it is just so cute.  I was super simple to make also!  Full of bliss has a tutorial with links on her site.
I Googled iPod heart and printed this heart and just used a glue stick to stick it on.
We made heart shaped crayons from broken and restaurant crayons we had and I printed out a heart shape so they could color it in.

I found these super cute bookmarks and had to include them.  I love the little owls!  You can find some at Living Locurto and also at My Grafico.  They were free to print and I just cut them out.

And of course the love monsters!

Here is the bag all stuffed and ready to head to school:)  I made the bag topper in MS Word and printed it on card stock.  The owl image was in there clip art.  Easy!

Thanks for stopping by:)  ~Angi

Love monsters

I wanted to make some cute little something for my son to give for Valentines day. I decided to make "love monsters".....LOL He had brought home a green pom-pom with eyes from the school treasure box at the start of the year and had named it and just loved it.

So my creative wheels started turning. How would I do them for V-day? I quickly realized making pom-poms using yarn that is multi colored in red, pink and white and trimming them up (giving them a hair cut) add some googly eyes and using my heart punch and some foam for feet would make adorable little "love monsters". Thanks for checking them out:) ~Angi
